This month's theme for my fabulous Clickin Moms blog circle was Shallow Depth of Field. Basically what this means: shooting wide open, you know...getting that good blur that directs your focus to the sharp points in an image. Well, that's part of it anyhow, but I love shooting wide open (larger aperture--aka f/1.2 on my 35mm or f/2.8 on my 70-200mm) whenever possible so was excited about this. I have been hoping to start documenting more of my daily life with my kids and was going to do a whole post on that, but instead ended up with a few TOTALLY random images (will come back to that whole day in the life thing later). Here's a few of what I snapped. Hope you enjoy and then be sure to go check out Michelle's awesome work next (link below).

Wonderful variety of shots! I love the lego one!
These are wonderful and I love the bokeh in the first shot. And who could not love little toes??
Lisa! First off Congratulations on the CM Pro! And these photos are just beautiful....have to say my favorite, hands down, is the piggy toes :)

Congrats on making CMPro!!
Lisa, I always have the same intentions... I really want to capture more of my kids too. These are lovely... the bokeh is gorgeous in the first image, I adore the low perspective on the Lego shot (my favorite!), love the little piggies, and that sweet girl is so pretty. Great job on the challenge!
Congrats Lisa on CMPRO - love your work. Great variety of images - I especially love the composition and perspective of the lego shot - it is reminds me of my lego-loving boys!
Love love love the piggy toes!!!
I love the variety here. What great examples of shallow depth of field. My boys just adore their Legos - so your Lego shot is my favorite. I love the colors and perspective you captured.
Fab work! Especially love the lego shot, the effect of the blur on that carpet is awesome!
