Bella Blooms Boutique!

This post is LONG overdue. I told myself I was going to become a better blogger and have totally slacked! I guess first and foremost my focus is on my pictures and my clients, BUT I do hope to eventually get to a point where this blog is also informative to those not awaiting peeks too :)

  So for that reason, I have slowly been working towards giving some "shout outs" to some fabulous vendors that I just love, and I have worked with Bella Blooms Boutique for quite sometime now and can honestly say, Lori ROCKS!

   I give this "review" with total honesty... her "clippies" and headbands are perfect! They are beautiful, unique, and very well made. I have had many in my prop stash for about a year and none have come apart- NONE. And with handmade hair items that I have seen it is rare, especially with the way my toddler treats them and with all of the use and travel to and from sessions when I throw everything in my car somewhat haphazardly. They have definitely stood the test of time. And even better they stay put in my daughter's hair without fail!

 One of my favorite features is that she makes newborn headbands with a special hook for them so that I can use a clippie on newborns for pictures or I can use just the clippies without the headbands on babies and girls with more hair. It's especially nice when photographing a newborn to be able to switch out the clippies without disturbing the baby to take on and off different headbands.  LOVE!

  So all and all- the fact that Bella Blooms' items are totally precious and fancier than the everyday hair pieces makes them beautiful to look at, but they are also very practical to use and I highly recommend these to other photographers and mamas like myself. I stick one in Ashlyn's hair any chance I get :)

Here are some random images with Bella Blooms in use on some super cuties, but you can find out more at ...

Little Boo Creations and Little Miss Tayden

Little Boo Creations

   Now that I have my blog a little more organized, I've been meaning to start doing some blog posts about some of my favorite vendors. Through my photography I have connected with some very talented ladies and have made some great friends too.  So the vendors section of my blog will be dedicated to them, the beautiful items they make, and also about my random favorites w/ props, etc just to share. So stay tuned for more, but I'm kicking it off with one of my favorite local shop owners, Little Boo Creations!

   I met Stephanie at a local market and found myself stopping by her booth often to admire her adorable items (and chat a bit too of course). I think the first thing I used of hers was a super cute top hat and I loved how it was well made w/ a much better style than others I had used previously. I have been loving putting several styles of her tutus to use and can't wait to use more of her cleverly made newborn tutus in some of my upcoming newborn sessions. You can check out her etsy shop here: Little Boo Creations Etsy Shop

 Here are several shots of her photo-fabulous tutu dresses modeled by the beautiful Miss Tayden. (Love this girl, her smiles, and her dancing skills! )

My Chick! {Lisa Rappa Photography | Georgia Photographer}

    After a few recent attempts for photos of my favorite, yet most challenging "model", I was pretty surprised that this evening's attempt went as well as it did. I really thought I would just take her down to the pond, try to get some quick shots of her in this absolutely fabulous Easter chick hat by Hippity Hoot Notions, and then figured she'd want to take it off and get fussy since we were nearing bedtime after a very busy day.
   But... I have to say she surprised me and although she did keep me running, she had so much fun and would even stop to laugh at me every so often without giving me her typical pout at the camera face (which I do so love of course). I don't think the geese knew what to think about this crazy chick running at them either!
   I had taken her out for some girl's only/mommy-daughter time this evening. Yes- I took my 21 month old to get a pedicure with me (probably won't try this again until age 3- but still pretty entertaining "wow Mommy, toes!"), and then we went to have sushi (she ate hibachi, no raw stuff) together.  We had a fun morning too, so I think my "Sassy" was feeling on top of the world tonight. Either way- she sure is the cutest chick I know, if I do say so myself, and after seeing her little legs running (around the entire pond I might add), I think she may be rocking the white onesies and Hippity Hoot Notions hat look more often!

This is what she did as she called, "Come here quack quacks!"  ;)

This is not how she runs- but it IS apparently how she walks when dramatically walking slow when asked to slow down. Cracks me up!

And back to running..
