2013 CM Blog Circle: "Shallow Depth of Field" {Lisa Rappa Photography| Atlanta, Ga Portrait Photographer}

   This month's theme for my fabulous Clickin Moms blog circle was Shallow Depth of Field. Basically what this means: shooting wide open, you know...getting that good blur that directs your focus to the sharp points in an image. Well, that's part of it anyhow, but I love shooting wide open (larger aperture--aka f/1.2 on my 35mm or f/2.8 on my 70-200mm) whenever possible so was excited about this. I have been hoping to start documenting more of my daily life with my kids and was going to do a whole post on that, but instead ended up with a few TOTALLY random images (will come back to that whole day in the life thing later). Here's a few of what I snapped. Hope you enjoy and then be sure to go check out Michelle's awesome work next (link below).

Lisa, I always have the same intentions... I really want to capture more of my kids too. These are lovely... the bokeh is gorgeous in the first image, I adore the low perspective on the Lego shot (my favorite!), love the little piggies, and that sweet girl is so pretty. Great job on the challenge!

I love the variety here. What great examples of shallow depth of field. My boys just adore their Legos - so your Lego shot is my favorite. I love the colors and perspective you captured.
