Jessica's Magic Hour Session Sneak Peek | {Atlanta, Ga Lisa Rappa Photography}

      Earlier this year I signed up to be a participating photographer w/ the Magic Hour Foundation and a few weeks ago I was paired up with this lovely lady, Jessica. On November 27, 2006 at the young age of 21, Jessica was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She has faced a long battle with cancer including several types of chemo and a stem cell transplant. In 2010 she had to stop chemo due to toxicity and started it back up about a year ago. She's been through so much and has had a lot of love from her family to help get her through it.
    Jessica wanted her mom to take part in this session with her b/c she has been by her side every step of the way and at almost every single chemo appointment. I'm so glad I got to meet Jane too b/c it is obvious Jessica inherited her positive spirit from her and they both were so wonderful to work with. I couldn't resist capturing a few shots of Jessica and her fiance who came along as well. It's obvious that their love is a huge strength for her as well.
    In meeting Jessica, you would never even know she was currently undergoing treatments. She showed up to our session with big smiles and a whole lot of energy. I know that it's not always that way for her though and I pray that she will be in remission before long!
 Jessica, you amaze me and it was an honor to get to work with you...congrats on the new home too! :)

** If you know of someone who is fighting cancer and that would be interested in a portrait session or photographers if you are looking to volunteer please check out the Magic Hour Foundation for more information.  They are truly a wonderful organization!
